Scranton Canoe Club Membership Dues

Interim Active Memberships

For new members only, includes unlimited golf privileges, billed over six months. Call a Board Member for more details.

Individual – $2,100/yr — Individual & Spouse (or Significant Other) – $2,400/yr — Family – $2,500/yr.

No dining minimum and no assessment. No Increase in dues for 3 years, and member signs a 3 year membership agreement.

Active Golf Memberships

Billed over 10 months starting in January. Includes unlimited golf privileges.

  • Individual Golf Membership – 2021 Fees $2,490.00 (Monthly payment over 10 months = Membership $249+ $36 Assessment + $60 Dining Minimum = $345)
  • Individual & Spouse (or Significant Other) Membership – 2021 Fees $2,815.00 (Monthly payment over 10 months = Membership $281.50 + $36 Assessment + $60 Dining Minimum = $377.50)
  • Family Membership – 2021 Fees $2,900.00 (Monthly payment over 10 months = Membership $290 + $36 Assessment + $60 Dining Minimum = $386) Family members include spouse, daughter or son under the age of 21, (23 if full time student). Must reside in the domicile of the Club Member unless attending school. ‘Significant Other’ qualifies as Spouse.

Junior Golf Memberships

Under age 36 as of April 1 of current year. Billed over 10 months starting in January. Includes unlimited golf privileges.

  • Individual Junior Golf Membership – 2021 Fees $1,495.00 (Monthly payment over 10 months = Membership $149.50 + $36 Assessment + $60 Dining Minimum = $245.50)
  • Junior & Spouse (or Significant Other) Membership – 2021 Fees $1,820.00 (Monthly payment over 10 months = Membership $182 + $36 Assessment + $60 Dining Minimum = $278)
  • Family Junior Membership – 2021 Fees $1,905.00 (Monthly payment over 10 months = Membership $190.50 + $36 Assessment + $60 Dining Minimum = $286.50) Family members include spouse, daughter or son under the age of 21 and must reside in domicile of the club member. ‘Significant Other’ qualifies as Spouse.

2nd Club Membership

2021 Fees $1,100.00
Dining Room Minimum, $120.00 anytime during Club Season (April – October).
No assessment. Current members in good standing of a Golf Course/Country Club and have not been members of the Scranton Canoe Club in the last 3 years. Fees may be paid monthly, quarterly, or one payment.

Clubhouse Membership

2021 Fees $680.00
Dining Room Minimum, $600.00 anytime during Club Season (April – October).
Dues covers one year from month of acceptance. Includes two rounds of golf annually. (Greens fees required). Dining room minimum applicable. Billed at start of season or on anniversary date. (See Additional Fees and Note below) Clubhouse Members pay the $30 assessment for 7 months while the Club is open totaling $210 for the year.

Non-Resident Membership

Fees $400.00
Primary residence must be 60+ miles from SCC. Dues cover current season only. 15 days annual golf privileges for members only. (5 day minimum intervals); No spousal or family golf privileges; No dining room fee minimum. Billed at start of season. Only available to former active members in good standing.

Traveler's Membership

Dues: $800.00  Available to anyone residing 100 miles or more from the Scranton Canoe Club. Applicant cannot reside, own property, business, or be employed within 100 miles of the SCC.  Good for 20 rounds of golf when the course is available. No assessment or dining minimum.  Access to restaurant and all use of all facilities.

Clubhouse Transition Membership

Available for current Clubhouse Members interested in playing more golf. In addition to current Clubhouse dues ($680/year), pay $420/year ($42 over 10 months). Total dues in year 1 would be $1,100. Eligible for all golf events, leagues, etc. Agreement would be for 1 year. After 1 year, the member could either return to Clubhouse membership (automatic) or join for a 2nd year at $1,500 a year. Would continue to be responsible for all assessments and fees associated with the traditional Clubhouse Membership. In year 3, the member will decide to return to Clubhouse Membership or convert to Active Golf status. Comes with no seniority until converted to Active Golf Membership.

Initiation Fee

There is currently no initiation fee for membership.

Additional Fees:

  • Gas Cart Rental, Weather Permitting, Per Person – 9 Holes/$9; 18 Holes/$16.00
  • Pull Cart Fee, Per Round – $1.00
  • Guest Greens Fee – 9 Holes – $15.00
  • Guest Greens Fee – All Day – $25.00

Note: The assessment is to enable the SCC to meet debt obligations. All golfing members pay the full yearly assessment which is billed over 10 months @$36.00 = $360.00/year. Clubhouse/Social Members pay the $30 assessment for 7 months while the Club is open ($210). Non-resident members, Interim Active Members, and 2nd Club members do not pay the assessment.
